Thanks for your follow up. I tried the socket change, no luck. I then went into developer mode and the log shows the following:
Open: java.lang.SecurityException: Permissison = javax.microedition.io.Connector.socket
Http: Starting .....
ONLINE
HTTP Error: java.io.IOException: Invalid Message Tag 3e
HTTP Stopped
OFFLINE

(Same but fb)
