LG Shine KE 970

Just to let you know WidSets won't work with the Shine KE970. I suspect that it'll be the same with the U970, the 3G version, but I don't have access to one to try that.

LG have stopped people from being able to transfer Java apps from PC to phone via a hack http://www.consumingexperience.com/2006/10/lg-chocolate-kg800-phone-free-java.html, and also as a "design concept" many Java files downloaded OTA won't work on the Shine, including unfortunately WidSets - see http://www.consumingexperience.com/2007/04/lg-shine-ke970-phone-ringtones-music.html#java.

So you can update your phone list for this.

(And I've not heard back but if any of the WidSets team will be in London shortly and would like to grab a coffee, it would be nice to meet you.)
