Please update your published widgets...

Hello fellow WidSetters

We'd like to kindly ask you to update your published widgets to set the language (pardon us on limited selection at the moment) , country and category to be correct. This can be set from your WidSet Manager window in "Published widgets" - "Edit".

Please note that in the Studio there is also now new templates which have the capability to show the images in case the actual feed has them included as items (like in many cases they do).
"Published widgets" enables you to also replace old ones with the new better logo/picture optimised layouts with the above mentioned picture showing capability in case you so wish.

In the studio there are templates for Iconizable RSS and new ones for Landscape, Panorama, Portrait and Tower. Which of those allows display of images please?

I previously produced a widset using the old Iconizable RSS template. If I want the capability to show images, how do I update my old widset? I've been to my Published Widsets page and tried Edit but I can't see any option to update my widset.

Is it the case that any new widsets created using Iconizable RSS will automatically have the capability to display images? If I go to edit my published widsets and just OK without changing anything, does that automatically update old widsets with that capability?

Hi Improbulus.

Now all the templates available from the Studio / Widget Templates are able to show images in the content. I just updated the Iconizable RSS Reader so that one also has this ability. You can control it in the options, but keep in mind that this feature only shows those images that are tagged properly in the feed.

To get the image viewing capability to those earlier published widgets, you need to make the widget again and publish it again to the library. If there are many of these widgets that you want to republish and delete the earlier version from the library, please let us know so we can manually delete those old ones that don't show up in your Published widgets list. To be more precice on the matter, there is currently no "autoupdate" feature to enable the image viewing capabilities on those old widgets.
