there's a bunch of new features in WidSets?


I'm happy to announce that we will launch a new version of WidSets on Tuesday 18 March 2008!

This will mean many new cool features to the service. Due to the upgrade, we will have a service break on Tuesday 18 March 2008 around 7.00 - 11.00 UTC.

What new WidSets will bring to you?

Well, let's see…

- Mobile studio. You can create simple widgets in the mobile end
- Push Email widget. Totally revamped email widget
- Open in browser. You can easily open any widget content in the mobile browser
- Bookmarks. Also readable in the mobile end
- More simple homepage on widsets.com and widsets.mobi page for mobile use
- New functionalities in content search in the Library (mobile and web)
- Improvements to the speed of WidSets
- Banner advertizing in the mobile client
- Clear chached data

This list has many improvements that have been wished for at this Forum. I hope you'll like them! Feel free to give feedback after the upgrade : )

This time the upgrade is not a forced one, so you'll have an option not to update it.

Notice:

In some cases, after the update, you might find out that the WidSets icon is not opening on the menu grid. In this case, remove the WidSets from your mobile and download your new personalized WidSets client with your mobile browser from get.widsets.com.

New WidSets website will require Safari browser 3.X version to work properly.

Look forward to the new version. From the beta there are some nice improvements, although it's good that the update is not forced.

Too bad that the Blackberry Curve isn't supported yet.
