Hi WidSeteers,

I just want to highlight that it's important to install WidSets or any Java apps on phone's memory on S60 devices. This way the application upgrades will go smoothly and the new version is ready to be used.

Hi there,

actually I am not sure about that. You could check from the email service providers website do they support POP3 or IMAP4 protocols in their free email version.

Why is that? What goes wrong installing on a memory card? If installing on a memory card does not work, why does my Nokia phone offer that option?

Yeah I'd like to know that as well! I've installed it already on my built-in memory card and I haven't come across any problems yet. So enlighten us please, what's the problem?

Hi guys,

there's a problem only in the case when WidSets client is updated to a new version and the old version is still on the device. This occures only in some S60 devices. The problem is that after the application upgrade the application icon does not open anymore. In this case the phone needs to be restarted and the application needs to be removed. After that WidSets can be re-installed and it will work again.

Also depending on the memory card in use, some might make WidSets slow to run and some faster.

Thanks Tana, you're right, out of curiosity I've re-installed it to my phone's memory and it is definitely faster now! (N95-8GB). Good stuff.

I believe it performs ok. Nokia 5610 is S40 device, so the described problem is not there. But of course in this case the memory cards are different and that may effect on the speed of WidSets.
