Questions on startup

Why I always have to answer "Allow application WidSets to use network and send or receive data?" and then select the access point?
It would be nice to have an option in "Seetings" menu to select if I wanna be asked or not for the allowing WidSets to use network and also if I wanna choose the access point or want to have one default.

Hi gpizzato,

my understanding is that this depends on the your phone's model and also the fact that is WidSets a signed applicatíon or not. So far WidSets in only Nokia signed application.

About the access points, e.g. Nokia S60 phones ask always the access point information for Java apps while S40 phones has a default access point.

I'll still confirm the information from our guys.

Taina

Well access point behavior on S60 phones for Java apps can be changed under "App Manager". Find the app. and some apps will actually let you set a default access point. I think the app. needs to be given the right to even allow that by Symbian through signing. The only Java app that I can say for sure lets you connects without a prompt is Yahoo to go 3.0. It will let you set a default access point without a prompt in App Manager.
