Widsets as Standby Application
Widsets as Standby Application
Hi,
It would be really great for me, if you can suggest how to use/update WidSets as a standby application on Nokia Phones.
Many, many thanks in advance!
BR,
Elena
Re: Widsets as Standby Application
Hi marcozzi,
S60 devices have the native active standby application that gives you an option to have shortcut for 6 different applications (Menu > Tools >Settings > General >Personalisation > Standby mode > Active standby apps.).
Currently this is the only sort of active standby solution that I know. In general, the feature is interesting and something that we are investigating, too.

Re: Widsets as Standby Application
Hi Tana,
I have already used the shortcut option on S60, as you mentioned.
In addition to that, I believe that it coud be interesting to have the possibility configure WidSets in order to:
- receive notifications on widgets' updates, directly on active standby (as for calendar notifications), or
- launch the WidSets automatically, as soon as the handset is switched on.

Re: Widsets as Standby Application
Thanks marcozzi, we are working on this one :)
Have you joined WidSets beta testing already? We're going to start testing hopefully in the end of this week.

Re: Widsets as Standby Application
Hi Tana,
I have joined WidSets beta testing as you have suggested.
I am sorry to say that I am not able to find any upgrades related to this Subject, with respect to previous version.
Could you please help me on this subject?
Thanks!

Re: Widsets as Standby Application
Sorry, this feature is not implemented in the beta version. I hope you have interest to test other new things and provide some feedback.
Tana
