Hi rccsvt41.

How does WidSets perform on your phone, do the buttons not work as supposed or were you not able to install the client at all?

We have confirmed WidSets working on a Samsung SGH-D600, which I would think is quite similar model. If it's the case that you're experiencing a key related issue and the client actually installs just fine, please try testing your mobile using the keytester application mentioned earlier in this thread and posting the results in the appropriate thread.

Cheers!

I just got a Nokia 6233 (was on a SE w810i earlier) and this new phone is identified and setup as a 6230. Does not look good, perhaps the major difference in the screen resolutions of the 6230 and 6233. Hopefully this would be fixed soon.

Hi nitinchandra.

We added Nokia 6233 to our phone database today, please try reinstalling the application to get it working under the correct resolution. Thanks for your feedback and letting us know your model was not identified correctly, hope you like our service.

Cheers,
Antti

Re:About new very recently launched mobiles....HTC TYTN

Hi - great product, but

HTC TYTN with touchscreen is not recognized.

This is what Widset think I have;

"Download WidSets for Motorola E680i "

Any ideas??

:-)

I have the same problem on my TyTN as Martin from Denmark(?) has.

My phone is recognized as a Compaq iPAQ HX4700.
The midlet installes ok, but is unusable because neither the touchscreen or the buttons work.

I´m very interested in getting this to function - I have widsets on my qtek 8010, and it works great. This is the best java-application I have seen for a long time!!

Motorola A1000 is listed as a compatible phone, but neither buttons or touchscreen functions.

Hi all.

The problems related to the Qtek TyTN devices and the Motorola A1000 obviously have to do with keymapping issues. In the Qteks, we lack softkey usability in the application. Adding touchscreen support might fix things to a point, but this functionality isn't in our current client.

Also a valid point there on why the Motorola A1000 is even on the list of most popular devices running WidSets, if the application isn't usable under it. We'll have to double check the validity of the list. It might be that a lot of people have tried using the application on that device and that at our end it might have seemed that it's actually working, sorry about the mixup.

Please consider mapping the keys on the A1000 using our keytester application for better performance. However, it does seem that this particular device doesn't have all that many buttons on it so it might be difficult to get it mapped properly. Anyway, notes on usage and availability of the tester can be found in my earlier post here: http://www.widsets.com/forum/posts/list/0/278.page

Antti

My Sony Ericsson P990i refuses to go online with Widset. Keeps trying to connect, but is unable for some reason. Can`t find anything wrong with my settings. I can easily surf the web with my internet settings through both gprs, and wlan. But Widset will not go online..

Suggestions? Or is this due to the fact that my SE P990i is not yet supported?
