Hi,

I can add your phone model to our database, and with that add any missing fields, although there shouldn't be.

I will search for your entry, but if you can go to http://get.widsets.com with your mobile browser and actually login with your username and password, then I can search for your username (it'll be a lot easier to find).

Can you add WM5 smartphone devices (no touchscreen)?

I'm using a Motorola Q, and it's identifying as a Motorola E680i. I can't download Widsets through Pocket Explorer on the phone, because it does recognize *.jad files. I tried downloading it on a regular computer, and transferring it over ActiveSync, but of course I could only download the generic version, which doesn't map properly.

This would be so much easier if you could just make downloads for any phone available, so we don't have to go through this crazy process of auto-detecting the phone model.

Hi lesterlau,

Yes, we can add more devices there, I will ask our guys to do that. How the mobile device is recognised should not effect to the version of the client to be installed to your device. It is one and same client for everyone.

Have you checked any other similar discussions here, that might help you with your problem? I found one, is this any help to you?

I'd downloaded v0.99 and was using it successfully on N95 with firmware v11.x

After firmware upd to v12.x, widsets has stopped functioning (can't launch), nor can I remove it from the App Mgr, nor can I re-install the app.

Any thoughts?

Hi there,

Unfortunately we have had couple of these cases here and we try to find the solution. One seems to be formatting the memory card, if the app is installed on that and then re-install WidSets.

After firmware update, did you re-install WidSets or did you restore the backup from old version?

I changed my phone, reloaded the software and the get.widsets.com "recognized" my phone as SE W300.
The received jar file worked on my SE W200i....and I run it in full mode. :-)

I don't see this type of phone in the devices listing nor do I have a chance to update my phone type in the setting internet page... :-(

Hi bhulst,

I will ask our guys to add the phone model to the list. The system does not regocnised the used phones correctly every time, or the information received from the phone is not so accurate.

Though if this happens, it should not effect to the functionality of WidSets :)

Good to hear that it work!

After our guys have done the trick, if you reload the client, the information should be corrected to your profile as well.

I have a brand new Motorola RAZR2 V8 and it gets recognized as a "Other Model". None of the buttons work, so I cannot get thru the disclaimer screen and move on.

Also because of the buttons are disabled I cannot enter the developer mode to check the log file...

Any tips?

hya my name is andy and i have just tried to install widset on to my nokia n95, email address has beed confirmed, widset updated, but wont syncronise to my mobile, is that because it is a new model.
please help
