Help! Just updated and now I have a new username?

lakings173  2007/03/02 19:21 UTC

Howdy,

I just updated to the latest version on my Nokia e61. How can I load my old username and password onto this new installation? Cirrently, it has set up a new account for me.

Thanks!

Hi,
Try Logging in with your old username.
Then select Settings - Reload.
You should then install the new WidSets client on the phone,
and continue using your old account.

I have the same problem after updating the client to version 0.99. Now I have lost off my Widsets :(

I'm using a Nokia N95 and have sign in to Widsets.

Even using the 0.98 Widsets, I've no option to key in my username and password as there is only the temporary generated password and user name.

After updating to version 0.99 Widsets, my favourite Widsets are gone and I've to reselect again.

When will we be able to key in our own username and password ?

Hi all.

For the user specific client, you can get one at http://get.widsets.com/ with your mobile browser. At this site, there is a possibility to insert your credentials before downloading the application.

You can also reorder your user specific client at the WidSets Web Site under the settings tab, by pressing reload there. This button will send you an SMS message containing the download link for your personalized account.

Our automatic update process atleast shouldn't create a new temporary user account. If this has been the case, please let us know by replying to this thread so we can investigate it further.

And if you have initially downloaded the anonymous client which comes up with the temporary user accounts, the account can only be completed by accessing the WidSets Web Site with the user credentials that can be found in the mobile client under 'Options' -> 'Welcome'.

Cheers,
Antti

I've keyed in my username and password to download the widsets programme from the website, http://get.widsets.com/

However, after trying for the third time, I'm still getting an invalid Jar file downloading the programme half way.

Hi there xtemujin.

Have you tried removing the application before installing the new one? I also suggest that you change your active widgets to a minimum before reinstallation. We have tested that the new (0.99) version of WidSets runs smoothly on the Nokia N95, so this shouldn't atleast be a device specific problem. It might of course also be that the connection somehow timeouts while downloading the JAR-file to your mobile device. If this is the case, it might take multiple download tries to get the application working.

If you're still having issues after trying what I propose above, please let me know so I can try to help you further.

Cheers,
Antti
