Hi catymag,

before you re-install the Widsets, have you first removed the old dead icon? At least, someone told that it shuld help to the problem... We try in check out why this happens, as this is not necessarily the same case that I though in the beginning.

Tana you are great!
After the restart of my n95 widset was dead as usually so I removed completely the application and then I downloaded widsets again from the link I told you and reinstalled.
now it works great even if I shutdown and restart!!!!

Where I can download the latest version of widsets from?
If i browse to download section of the phone (N95) I am able to download the widsets but when I install it stays on loading .. and never loads .. is there e newer version from the one in N95 catalog ?

Hi ltomovski,

I tried with my N95 (here in Finland), to use Download! and install WidSets. It offered me version 1.00(6) that is the latest version. Which version you were offered?

To reload your client for "ltomovski", please got to My Profile pages, and open the Settings page from the list on left side. There you can find the "Reload" button, which sends you the SMS with a download link to your new client.

I managed to make it work. The key was to reload the Catalgos so it offered me to download and install the newr version of widsets

Very good app one of my favs BUT i have given up with it now forever reinstalling it, works ok until start phone again. installed it today as it was taking 20mins to start But now starts in seconds with no icons..

And now as i am typing this im getting a error report

(( server did not respond in a timely fashion ))


So bye widsets until you get one that works lol

I really loved Widsets, before when it worked.

Since the update i've been unable to use it. It says all widsets installed have errors and never load.

I tried several times to uninstall the app and install again, and remove all widsets and re-add again but always the same happens.
When I start the application it just hangs forever and ever, then says the widsets have errors.

very annoying to say the least.

Oh well, I will look for alternatives as widsets as it is now sux totally.

Hi TheONE and nuno,

I understand your concern and I am concerned of your problems as well, and I hope I can still help you there.

Here's couple of tips for you.

- Remove the old version before installing any new version
- Make sure that you get the new version that is customized for you. Log in to website, go to My Profile page, and then to Settings page on the left hand side. Press the "Reload" button there and you'll receive a SMS where you can download the application.
- if some widgets complain that content fetching failed, try to reload them.
- use GPRS/EDGE for first time open the app as some of here has said that using Wlan had probs but GPRS/EDGE was ok

Are you both using N95 or something else?

I hope this helps! And if no, let me know more and I try to find more tips which could be tried.

There's also a fact, that WidSets may not work anymore in some lower end phones, as the app is not bigger than before.

I have tried all you say apart from GPRS and this really isn’t an option as I am on pay & go and limited to 1 minuscule meg..
I have just started widsets and it as take 6mins and 47second to get to the icons, why is this? How long does yours take?

099 beta worked great, the new one when does finally starts locks up and need to then restart my phone…

Yes I am using the Nokia N95 latest firmware 12.0.013 and sandisk 2gb micro sd card

Looks like a lot of people are having problems on the nokia N95 since the new final ver came out anyone know if a new build is coming out to solve this????
