i have a nokia 5310 and cant get connected i have downloaded the settings,but still wont let me get connected

Hi Dobrismak,

to be able to download WidSets, your phone should support Java MIDP 2.0, that's the basic requirement. And you need the data plan active as well.

Are you sure you have an Internet access point set as a preferred access point to your mobile phone?

In you phone, in the main menu you can find Settings - Configuration - Preferred access point. This should be Internet (GPRS) access point. It cannot be WAP access point, the connection won't succeed with that.

If you cannot find this kind of access point from your phone, please order them from your operator. They are very often possible to require from operator's website.

Sometimes creating a new access points helps with the connectivity issues. You should be able to create manually a new one in some kind of settings or configuration menu related to access points.

E.g. I did like this with my Nokia N95. Just set the following configuration for new access point:

Connection name: WidSets
Data bearer: packet data
Access point name: internet

and that's it. Of course this should be selected as a access point when gettings WidSets connected, or as a default one, depends on the phone.

Hi Taina

I opened my account today, everything was fine I downloaded many widgets etc.. then this evening I noticed I had been logged out of my account and couldnt get back in, fortunately i bookmarked my page, I went onto it and found it was still logged in, I have tried and tried to reset my password, it will not let me it keeps saying it cant be done, I havent forgot my password but is is saying its the wrong one, and now my widgets will not work on my mobile phone either, please help me, I cant do anything with this at all and need your help.

Hi Tracey,

I'm not sure what has happened in your case, but I would advise you to go to www.widsets.com and then open the "Log in" link in the upper right corner. When you have the Log in page open, don't login, but choose "Forgot your password?" link. Fill the needed information and you will receive a new password. Then try logging in the web site again.

What is the problem in mobile end exactly? After you are done with the password issue, if the mobile end is not working ok, here's a tip how to reload the mobile client:
