yep, same problem for me. nothing works. can't use it, can't uninstall it. its dead. bring back 2.0 - at least it worked. I've heard of this weird process called QA - apparently it means testing things before releasing them.

Hi guys,

I also installed in on my Nokia E51 and at first the icon was dead (nothing happened when I click it) and I couldn't even uninstall it.

I got it working by rebooting the phone, then using the application manager to uninstall Widsets. Then I went to get.widsets.com with the phones browser, logged in from the bottom, downloaded and now it works.

It's recommended to remove the old version before downloading the new one as at least some S60 devices have problems to update the Java app version of top of the old one especially when installed on the memory card.

Hope you guys get the new version up and running on your devices.

I'm having the same problem with my E90 Communicator. I've tried rebooting, going to app manager, and remove widsets, but it just says "Removing failed".

I can't re-install because it says "authorisation failed", even though its setup to install all software, regardless of certificates.

So now I appear to be stuck with dud software, it will not remove from my phone, won't launch, or anything. It was working great until the upgrade.

I tried rebooting and then removing widsets. Not working!! I have a Nokia N81.

The widsets are not in my application manager.

I want to remove "Widsets". But it doesnt look like it can be removed. I installed Widsets, and when I opened the application it said there is a newer version available. So, I downloaded the newer version. Now, I have the old version and the new one. But, when I tried going into the new one, it doesnt open. I then downloaded it again and the same. So I tried once again. And the same. Now I have 4 Widsets applications on my phone.

How do I remove it. I tried through the "Nokia Installer" but the stupid program doesnt show what I have installed.

HOW!!

Hi guys,

have you seen this thread about dead icon and tips how to get rid of it? https://www.widsets.com/forum/topic/2/163470178/1/

With S60 devices it's important to install Java apps on phone's memory to avoid dead icons when upgrading the applications. And it would be good to uninstall the old version before installing the new one.

I hope you find help from this post.
