Hi. This is really a great Widget!
One thing that would REALLY improve the experience for those of us with E-Series devices (and maybe others) would be support for QWERTY keyboards.
On my Nokia E62, I have to hold the blue "Function" button in order to press a number. If you could make the widget accept the corresponding LETTER in place of a number, I could play with one hand, which would be a big plus!
It shouldn't affect users with numeric-only keypads, so you wouldn't have to detect the phone type or anything.
The letter-to-number mappings are:
r -> 1
t -> 2
y -> 3
f -> 4
g -> 5
h -> 6
v -> 7
b -> 8
n -> 9
u -> *
m -> 0
j -> #

This is something that I can't control from widget code. I'll check if there's something we could do, but I cannot promise anything. Sorry.

I thanks this is great!!!
How ever can you put in some validation. EG if you entered two 6's in 1 row to point that out and maybe a check to see if it is still solvable.

Hi BioVolt,

actually there was a feature for that at somepoint of the developement but I desided to take it off. When you're playing sudoku on a piece of paper as it was originally designed, you can also put as many number sixes as you wish :)

Hi!

I really like this widget.

But recently it stopped working correctly on my E90. The application seems to start fine and I can navigate in the menu. Only when trying to start a sudoku and the page is loaded the grid never comes up. Only the background image is seen.

I tried to reinstall the Sudoku widget and even reinstalled widsets, but it did not help.

Same is happening to me. Never worked but it seems to start fine also :)
