Sign in to Gmail.
Go to Settings - Forwarding and POP.
Select Enable POP for all mail.
Save Changes.
Go to WidSets Email widget Options - Settings.
Incoming Mail Server: pop.gmail.com
Mailbox Type: POP3
Connection Type: Secure SSL
User Name: your gmail username without "@gmail.com"
Password: your gmail password
In the mobile widget settings, select the Alert sound!

which is the email provider that you try to configure? Are you sure it does not require some settings changes from the service provider's side?
Sometimes closing - reopening might help, or just wait for some time in online and the emails might start to flow. If you could give more details, we or someone else using the same email in this Forum could help you to solve the problem.

so far the features of the emial widget are limited, but I think there will be some improvements coming later on.

somebody asked sometime ago about configuring Rediff.com email to this widget. As I understood from Rediff webpage, at least the Rediff Pro supports POP3, so that should work here....
If there someone in India, who knows better, please, comment here, if it's running or not.

after the update last week, this is the only email widget in the library anymore. Please, use this if you used to use "Email feed" or "Gmail 1.1". They are no longer working.
This widget might have some problems sometimes to stop working, but if you notice that, the reload of the widget (Options - Widget - Relaod on the mobile end) should fix it, until we find the a real solution for this.

I can guarantee that with my N95 and IMAP account from Email, it does not work at all, just shows a blank page even after reloading...
Can't wait for someone to put their hands on it.
(the server is imapmail.email.it with a normal connection)

If someone has succeeded, please tell how should it be done.
